Duties

• Assist with installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems on construction sites and commercial projects
• Use hand tools and power tools to cut, assemble, and install pipes and fixtures according to schematics and blueprints
• Read and interpret construction plans, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate work
• Support team members with pipe threading, fitting, and welding tasks to ensure proper system connections
• Perform routine inspections of plumbing components and troubleshoot issues using mechanical knowledge
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols on construction sites
• Collaborate with senior apprentices and journeymen to complete remodeling, maintenance, or field service projects efficiently

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in or completed the 2nd or 3rd year of a recognized plumbing apprenticeship program
• Prior experience or exposure to construction plumbing or related trades preferred
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and pipe threading techniques
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations required during installation tasks
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and mechanical diagrams accurately
• Knowledge of HVAC systems or handyman experience is a plus but not required
