Job Summary
The Plumbing Gas Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and inspecting plumbing and gas systems in residential, commercial, and industrial properties. This role requires expertise in gas piping, appliances, water distribution systems, drainage systems, and compliance with local building codes and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing and gas piping systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues related to gas leaks, plumbing fixtures, water lines, and drainage systems.
- Install and service gas appliances.
- Conduct gas pressure testing, leak detection, and inspections.
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes and regulations.
- Maintain service records and communicate with customers.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required. Technical training, apprenticeship, or licensing in plumbing and gas fitting preferred.
Required Skills
Knowledge of plumbing and gas codes, troubleshooting skills, blueprint reading, customer service, and commitment to safety.
Working Conditions
Indoor and outdoor work environments with occasional emergency call-outs, lifting, climbing, and confined-space work.
Salary Range
Typically $90,000 120,000+ annually depending on experience, location, and certifications.
Pay: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
