Commercial Plumber

Job Description

Install, assemble, modify, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair commercial plumbing systems, including domestic water, sanitary waste, vent, and storm drainage systems for commercial construction projects.

Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and building codes to determine system layout, pipe routing, and installation procedures.

Perform plumbing work in all phases of construction, including underground, rough-in, top-out, and final installation.

Measure, cut, assemble, and install piping systems, valves, fittings, and fixtures using PVC, CPVC, PEX, copper, cast iron, steel, and other plumbing materials.

Perform soldering and brazing as required for installation and repair of piping systems.

Install and connect commercial plumbing fixtures, equipment, and water heating systems.

Diagnose and troubleshoot plumbing system issues, identify defects, leaks, and malfunctions, and perform necessary repairs.

Conduct pressure testing and inspections to ensure proper system operation and compliance with applicable codes and project specifications.

Coordinate work with other trades on job sites to ensure proper system integration.

Maintain tools, equipment, and a safe and organized work environment in accordance with safety regulations.

Minimum Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Two (2) years of experience as a Plumber.
• Experience working with commercial plumbing systems including water supply, sanitary, vent, and storm drainage systems.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings.
• Experience with underground, rough-in, top-out, and final phases of plumbing installation.
• Knowledge of plumbing codes and safety regulations.
• Experience working with piping materials including PVC, CPVC, PEX, copper, and cast iron.
• Ability to perform soldering and brazing.

Travel within the Charlotte, North Carolina metropolitan area to various job sites as required.
