Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret complex construction drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications related to commercial plumbing systems.
• Develop detailed cost estimates by accurately estimating material requirements, labor costs, equipment needs, and subcontractor services using tools like HeavyBid and Bluebeam.
• Manage and negotiate contracts with suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors to secure favorable pricing and terms.
• Utilize estimating software such as FastPipe to prepare comprehensive bids that align with project scope and budget constraints.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure estimates reflect project requirements and site conditions.
• Monitor project budgets throughout the bidding process and during construction to maintain cost control and identify potential overruns early.
• Conduct site visits when necessary to gather on-the-ground information that influences accurate estimation and planning.
• Review construction contracts, manage change orders, and ensure all estimates comply with contractual obligations and safety standards.
