Commercial Plumbing Estimator

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Commercial Plumbing Estimator to join our team and drive the success of our construction projects. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for commercial plumbing systems, reviewing construction drawings, and managing project budgets from inception to completion. Your expertise will help ensure competitive pricing, effective cost control, and seamless project execution. Responsibilities

• Review and interpret complex construction drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications related to commercial plumbing systems.
• Develop detailed cost estimates by accurately estimating material requirements, labor costs, equipment needs, and subcontractor services using tools like HeavyBid and Bluebeam.
• Manage and negotiate contracts with suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors to secure favorable pricing and terms.
• Utilize estimating software such as FastPipe to prepare comprehensive bids that align with project scope and budget constraints.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure estimates reflect project requirements and site conditions.
• Monitor project budgets throughout the bidding process and during construction to maintain cost control and identify potential overruns early.
• Conduct site visits when necessary to gather on-the-ground information that influences accurate estimation and planning.
• Review construction contracts, manage change orders, and ensure all estimates comply with contractual obligations and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing projects as a construction estimator within the commercial plumbing or broader construction industry.
• Strong proficiency in construction drawing review, interpreting technical drawings, and estimating material requirements from blueprints.
• Familiarity with estimating tools such as Bluebeam, HeavyBid, Xactimate, and other relevant software platforms.
• Solid understanding of construction site operations, cost management, project management principles, and contract administration.
• Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to secure competitive pricing while maintaining quality standards.
• Knowledge of construction estimating processes including pricing strategies, cost control measures, and budget forecasting.
• Construction experience with a focus on plumbing systems is highly preferred; relevant certifications are a plus.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
