Flame Shield Systems is a licensed fire protection contractor serving commercial properties, HOAs, condominiums, and hotels across Florida’s Space Coast. We specialize in NFPA 25 fire sprinkler inspection, testing, and maintenance (ITM) and new construction fire suppression installation. As we grow our commercial contract base, we’re adding an experienced pipe fitter to our field team.

Position Summary

This role covers two distinct but related scopes of work: new construction fire sprinkler pipe fitting and NFPA 25 deficiency inspections on existing commercial wet pipe systems.

Candidates must be competent in both areas — this is not an entry-level position and not a fit for someone with experience in only one discipline.

Responsibilities

Fabricate, layout, and install fire sprinkler piping systems on new construction projects per approved shop drawings and manufacturer/code requirements

Perform NFPA 25 inspections, testing, and maintenance on existing commercial wet pipe sprinkler systems

Accurately identify, document, and report system deficiencies (red/yellow tag standard)

Complete required inspection reports and documentation to Florida Uniform ITM Summary Report standards

Coordinate with the Lead Technician and office staff on scheduling, findings, and follow-up work

Maintain professional conduct and appearance on active commercial job sitesMinimum Qualifications — Required

3+ years of verifiable hands-on experience in fire sprinkler systems (installation and/or ITM)

Demonstrated working knowledge of NFPA 25 inspection, testing, and maintenance standards
