GMT Licensed Plumber

Ohio Wesleyan University, a selective, private, undergraduate liberal arts, residential institution founded in 1842 and located just 20 miles north of Columbus OH, is seeking candidates for the position of GMT Plumber. About you

You are a licensed plumber or a seasoned maintenance technician who has a passion for building relationships and helping people. You might already have specific experience working in construction or have served in roles in the building trades. You are looking forward to working in a friendly and fast paced role on a college campus, comfortable applying your earned knowledge and skill servicing both residential and commercial facilities.

Job Summary

Working under general supervision, the incumbent will apply knowledge and skill at the journey level to install and repair piping, fixtures, appliances, laboratory equipment, and apparatus related to gas, air, steam, water, drainage systems, and heating and cooling systems. Complete routine and emergency work orders. Performs preventive maintenance, as assigned.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Diagnose and repair leaks, clogs, and malfunctions in toilets, sinks, showers, and urinals
• Maintain and repair specialized campus fixtures including drinking fountains, bottle-filling stations, and emergency eye-wash/drench shower stations to ensure compliance with safety codes
