Job Summary

Airco Service Company, a leading commercial HVAC/Mechanicals contractor in Troy, IL, is seeking an experienced Journeyman Pipefitter. You’ll be integral in installing, maintaining and repairing piping systems within mechanical, HVAC and process applications. You’ll work in a hands-on environment, partner with project teams, and drive high-quality performance while ensuring safety and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings and piping schematics; lay out pipe runs accordingly.
• Install, assemble and align piping systems (carbon steel, stainless, copper, PVC/CPVC, etc.) including valves, flanges, supports and hangers.
• Fabricate (thread, groove, weld or join) pipe systems and perform pressure testing and inspections to verify integrity and compliance.
• Perform maintenance, repairs and retrofits on existing piping systems (e.g., steam, chilled/hot water, compressed air, process utility lines).
• Collaborate with project managers, foremen, contractors and client representatives to meet schedule, budget and quality targets.
