Journeyman Plumber

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, and appliances on construction sites or in existing structures
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute plumbing layouts
• Use hand tools, power tools, pipe threading machines, welding equipment, and other mechanical tools to complete tasks efficiently
• Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely while adhering to safety protocols
• Conduct routine inspections of plumbing systems to identify issues and implement effective solutions
• Collaborate with construction teams, carpenters, HVAC technicians, and other trades to ensure seamless project progress
• Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and compliance with safety standards

Skills

• Extensive experience with construction plumbing, pipe threading, welding, and schematic reading
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems including HVAC components and general building maintenance
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, heavy lifting techniques, and basic math for measurements and calculations
• Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and remodeling or renovation projects
