Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyman Plumber to join our dynamic mechanical team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining heating and plumbing systems. Your expertise will ensure that plumbing systems meet safety standards, building codes, and client specifications. Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain heating and plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, and appliances in new construction, remodeling, and maintenance projects.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute plumbing layouts.
• Use hand tools and power tools to cut, thread, assemble, and install piping systems efficiently.
• Perform welding and pipe threading tasks to ensure secure connections in complex heating and plumbing setups.
• Conduct routine inspections of heating and plumbing systems to identify issues and perform necessary repairs or replacements.
• Collaborate with construction teams, carpenters, HVAC technicians, and other trades to coordinate project workflows.
• Adhere to safety protocols on construction sites while handling heavy lifting and working at heights or in confined spaces.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Journeyman Plumber with a valid license or certification, AK license will be required once hired.
• Strong knowledge of construction plumbing practices, schematics, and mechanical systems.
• Mentorship: Supervise, train, and assist apprentice plumbers while they work on residential job sites.
• Customer Service: Prepare cost estimates, communicate effectively with clients, and keep accurate logs of time and materials.
• Must possess a valid AK Journeyman Plumber license because you will have a dedicated apprentice from a local trade school.
