Job Description

Job Title: Licensed Journeyman Plumber (Water Filtration Specialist)

Location

Charlotte, NC

Position Type

Full-Time

Compensation

$30.00 – $35.00 per hour (Experience Dependent) + Performance Bonuses

About the Role

Are you a licensed plumber who is tired of crawling through muddy crawlspaces or dealing with emergency sewer backups? We are looking for a Licensed Journeyman Plumber (Class I (P-I) or Class II (P-II)) to join our team in Charlotte as a specialist in Whole-Home Water Filtration.

As the "Queen City" continues to grow, so does the demand for high-quality water. In this role, you won't just be fixing leaks; you’ll be an expert technician providing families with clean, pH-balanced, and purified water. You will lead installations of sophisticated filtration systems, UV purifiers, and water softeners in high-end residential properties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Expert Installation: Perform professional installations of whole-home carbon filters, water softeners, reverse osmosis systems, and UV sterilization units.
  • System Diagnostics: Test water quality on-site (pH, hardness, TDS) and troubleshoot existing filtration hardware.
  • Code Compliance: Ensure all installations meet North Carolina Plumbing Code and local Charlotte-Mecklenburg utility requirements.
  • Customer Education: Explain system operation, maintenance schedules, and the benefits of filtered water to homeowners with clarity and professional wit.
  • Mentorship: Lead and train 1–2 apprentices, ensuring they develop the high standards of craftsmanship our brand is known for.

Required Qualifications

  • Licensure: Must hold a valid North Carolina Plumber License (Class P-I or P-II).
  • Experience: Minimum of 4 years in residential plumbing; specific experience with water treatment systems is a major plus but not required.
  • Skills: Proficient in soldering copper, PEX piping, and PVC/CPVC solvent welding. Ability to read blueprints and navigate tight mechanical rooms.
  • Clean Record: Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record (you will be operating a company vehicle).
  • Communication: Strong interpersonal skills—you are the face of the company in the customer’s home.

Why Join Us?

  • Specialized Work: Say goodbye to "dirty" plumbing. Our work is clean, technical, and highly rewarding.
  • Local Focus: Our routes are concentrated in the Charlotte metro area (including Lake Norman, Weddington, and Fort Mill)—less time in traffic, more time on the job.
  • Tools & Tech: We provide a service van, iPad for paperless invoicing, and top-tier power tools.
  • Benefits: Paid Time Off (PTO) and paid holidays.
  • Continuing education credits (CEUs) paid for by the company.

How to Apply

If you are a detail-oriented plumber who takes pride in "clean" pipe runs and high-end installs, we want to hear from you. Please submit your resume and a brief summary of your experience with water treatment or residential service.
