The Role

Pipefitters are responsible for installing complex systems together on the ship and in the shop: more than 23 miles of pipe are installed on a submarine, and more than 230 miles of pipe are installed on a carrier. As a pipefitter, you will learn to read blueprints, fabricate, install, inspect, and test the many piping systems onboard a ship.
