Responsibilities

• Read and interpret construction plans, technical drawings, and blueprints to accurately install piping systems.
• Measure, cut, bend, assemble, and install pipes using power tools and manual handling techniques.
• Ensure all work complies with workplace safety regulations, including OSHA safety standards and industrial safety protocols.
• Perform erosion control measures to protect the environment during construction activities.
• Conduct equipment repairs and maintenance to keep tools and machinery in optimal working condition.
• Assist with climbing structures and scaffolding safely while installing or inspecting piping systems.
• Implement heavy lifting procedures using appropriate equipment to handle large or awkward pipe sections safely.
• Follow all respiratory protection guidelines and wear necessary PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) during tasks.

Skills

• Proficient in blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings for accurate pipe installation.
• Strong mechanical knowledge related to piping systems, equipment repair, and construction tools.
