Based out of the Lumberton, NC facility, the Pipefitter will be engaged in fabricating, assembling, installing, and maintaining commercial HVAC piping systems. They work primarily in industrial, commercial settings, ensuring that pipes are properly fitted and connected to facilitate the flow of liquids, gases, and other substances. Refrigeration & hydronic piping experience is preferred.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Pipe Installation: Pipe fitters are responsible for accurately measuring, cutting, and fitting pipes according to engineering specifications and blueprints. They work with various types of pipes, such as steel, copper, plastic, and stainless steel, and use tools like saws, pipe cutters, and threaders to shape and prepare the pipes for installation.
• Pipe Connection: Pipe fitters connect pipes together using welding, soldering, brazing, or mechanical fittings. They ensure that the connections are secure, leak-free, and aligned properly. They may also install valves, gauges, and other control devices along the piping system.
• Blueprint Interpretation: Pipe fitters need to be able to read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and other technical documents to understand the layout and configuration of the piping systems they are working on. This includes identifying the types and sizes of pipes, determining the location of fittings, and planning the pipe routing.
• Pipe Repair and Maintenance: Pipe fitters diagnose and troubleshoot issues with piping systems, such as leaks, blockages, or faulty components. They may dismantle and replace damaged pipes, valves, or fittings, and perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning, lubrication, and inspection to ensure the system's...
