Job Summary: Job Title: Multi-Craft PipefitterDepartment: OperationsReports To: Multi-Craft Pipefitter ForemanFLSA Status: Non-exempt Summary: At Cherokee Millwright, we are a multi-craft company that focuses on the needs of our customers by providing multi-trades personnel to meet the customer’s unique job requests. Therefore, all field employees will be cross-trained in various trades such as millwrighting, pipefitting, welding, sheet metal, civil, etc. The focus of this position will be in lay out, assemble, install and maintain pipe systems, pipe supports and related equipment for steam, hot water, heating, cooling, lubricating, compressed air and industrial production and processing systems. However, it will not be entirely set to this specific skillset. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.* Cut, thread and hammer pipe to specifications, using tools such as saws, cutting torches, pipe threaders and benders. * Assemble and secure pipes, tubes, fittings and related equipment, according to specifications, by welding, brazing, cementing, soldering and threading joints. * Attach pipes to walls, structures and fixtures, such as radiators or tanks, using brackets, clams, tools or welding equipment. * Inspect, examine, and test installed systems and pipelines, using pressure gauge, hydrostatic testing, observation, or other methods. * Measure and mark pipes for cutting and threading. * Plan pipe system layout, installation, or repair according to specificat...
