Plumber

GBL Mechanical Inc. is a plumbing and sprinkler contractor specializing in residential and commercial projects throughout New York City and Connecticut for over 20 years. We’re expanding our team and looking to recruit multiple Plumbers to work in a large commercial project in Stamford, Connecticut.

We provide a van service to drive plumbers without vehicles from Astoria (if you live in New York) daily to the job site. *You must otherwise be able to arrive at the job site yourself.*

The ideal candidate should have a strong background in construction plumbing, can properly fill out required forms and work independently/in a group. Above all else, we are looking for dependable, honest and hard working individuals. Experience is second to the attitude we need for our projects. For your work we compensate fair and honestly with good flexibility in work.

Requirements

• Legally allowed to work in the United States of America.
• Experience in operating hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.
• Adhere to OSHA safety protocols & directions while working.
• 2+ years experience in plumbing.

Preferences

• OSHA SST certification is a plus.
• Valid, up to date certifications.
• Bilingualism appreciated, but not required.
• Valid drivers license preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Able to install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fittings, and fixtures.
• Comfortably to operate in commercial plumbing construction site.
• Read and follow directions of supervisors, OSHA and blueprints.
• Conduct pipe threading and assembly tasks accurately as per instructions.
• Collaborate with other tradespeople on construction sites to ensure project completion.
