About the Work

DAB Plumbing handles both residential and commercial service calls, with most of our work being commercial. About 90% of our work is in the Richmond area, though we occasionally travel to nearby locations such as Charlottesville, Williamsburg, Fredericksburg, and surrounding areas.

A typical workday starts around 8:00 AM, but some jobs may begin earlier, around 5:00–7:00 AM, or later, around 9:00–10:00 AM, depending on the job.

If service work is slow, you are still able to get your full 40 hours by helping our construction plumbing team. No matter what, we work to make sure you get a full 40-hour week.

Weekend and overtime work is often available but is not required. On-call is required, but on-call technicians rotate weekly.

Materials are usually purchased from Winsupply and Ferguson or picked up from our shop.

We also have an in-house mechanic. If your company van needs maintenance or repairs such as brakes, oil changes, or other work, you can bring it by the shop and he will help get it taken care of.
