BL Companies is growing and is seeking a Plumbing Engineer to join our Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) group. This role is responsible for the engineering design, analysis, and coordination of plumbing systems for a variety of building types, ensuring efficient, code-compliant, and innovative solutions.

The successful candidate will support plumbing engineering projects, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to department-wide design deliverables. This role requires a strong foundation in plumbing system design and construction documentation.

*This role can be based in any of the following offices: Meriden, Hartford, Norwood, Warwick, Charlotte, Wilmington*Key Responsibilities:* Design plumbing systems for commercial, institutional, and industrial projects, including domestic water, sanitary, stormwater, and specialty systems. * Develop and review construction documents, specifications, and detailed engineering drawings. * Ensure designs comply with building codes, standards, and sustainable design principles. * Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to resolve design and construction challenges. * Collaborate with a team of engineers and designers, sharing best practices in plumbing system design and engineering principles. * Contribute to the development of firmwide plumbing design standards, workflows, and technical guidelines.

Required Experience

* Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or Plumbing Engineering (or related field) or a minimum of 7+ years of relevant experience. * 3+ years of experience with commercial or industrial design in Revit; residential experience is a plus. * CPD certification (or in progress). * Proven experience designing...
