Plumbing Inspector I/II

JOB Position Summary:

Under the direction of the Plumbing Supervisor, the Plumbing Inspector I/II is responsible for performing onsite inspections of plumbing installations, ensures satisfactory workmanship, use of proper materials, and compliance with plumbing codes. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES Responsibilities include but not limited to:

* Conducting onsite inspections of plumbing installations at residential and industrial new construction or renovated locations to ensure compliance with the Ohio Plumbing Code.

* Observing various field tests as assigned; preparing rough drawings identifying location of previous sewer or water supply systems as assigned.

* Providing assistance and/or consultation services, including layout, design work, and written correspondence to homeowners, contractors, and others.

* Preparing daily schedule.

* Preparing sewer/water and backflow documentation.

* Receiving and responding to phone calls regarding plumbing-related questions and complaints.
