Plumbing Maintenance Technician

Position Summary

Responsible to install, maintain, repair and preventative maintenance for campus wide plumbing, HVAC, and residential and commercial utility distribution systems while communicating with the Supervisor/Manager of repair needs and priorities. Provide backup for the maintenance department as assigned.

Essential Job Functions

• Install, repair and maintain all plumbing systems campus wide including residential/ commercial buildings.
• Able to read and interpret blueprints and building specifications to map layout of utilities and drainage systems.
• Perform routine inspections of plumbing systems to identify, schedule and repair/ replace worn parts and equipment.
• Assist with scope of work on contract and in-house repairs and locate needed parts and materials to complete the assigned project.
• HVAC knowledge preferred.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures regarding the handling and disposal of hazardous materials.
• Perform regular and routine maintenance and repairs on campus wide plumbing and water distribution systems.
• Ownership of Preventive Maintenance program associated within assigned area.
• Evaluate, schedule, respond and oversee assigned various work orders to include but not limited to plumbing and Utilities and distribution systems, and recognize and report hazardous conditions requiring immediate action in a timely and effective manner.
• Regular and reliable attendance at the worksite and adhere to assigned schedule. – *this position is* *not* *a remote or telecommute position.*
• Adhere to all company and departmental policies and procedures per the guidebook including all safety requirements including all safety guidelines.
• Utilize electronic time management system to input time, attendance and paid off request
