Job Description

The Apprentice or Licensed Plumber will install, repair and maintain by performing various duties in commercial or public buildings.

Job Duties

* Work with others as a team to learn and perform the task laid out by the plumbing superintendent and or lead plumber.

* Measure, cut and bend wire and conduit, using measuring instruments and hand tools.

* Transport tools, materials, equipment, and supplies to work site by and, hand truck, or heavy, motorized truck.

* Perform laboring duties related to the installation, maintenance and repair of a wide variety of electrical systems and equipment, and clean work areas.

* Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Physical Requirements

• Work in high places, tight places, confined spaces and/or other adverse locations.
• Climb, balance, squat, kneel and crouch.
• Work in all types of weather.
• Must have working knowledge of all trade materials and tools.
• Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. occasionally, and/or 31 to 45 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 16 to 22 pounds of force constantly to move objects

Qualifications

• Must have 1-3 years of experience as an plumbing apprentice preforming in commercial or residential installation and/or equivalent combination of vocational training and experience.
• Journeyman or Master Plumbers License preferred.
