Kimley-Horn's Dallas, Texas (TX) office is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with 5+ years of experience to join their MEP team! Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate will have experience in MEP design and engineering consulting, particularly within the healthcare industry.

* + Support mechanical design execution for various healthcare projects under the guidance of senior engineers + Assist in project management tasks, including scheduling, coordination, and budgeting + Prepare engineering calculations, system layouts, and equipment selections for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems + Assist in the preparation of cost proposals and project contracts, including add service agreements + Participate in MEP systems reviews, engaging with code officials, contractors, architects, and clients to drive compliance and quality. + Ensure compliance with local, state, and national codes and regulations + Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including clients, consultants, and contractors + Participate in quality control reviews of MEP system designs, calculations, and drawings + Provide support to designers and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams + Gain experience in managing projects, with the opportunity for career growth into senior-level roles

Qualifications: * 5+ years of experience in MEP design and engineering for healthcare projects within an engineering consulting environment * Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems * Experience with design software such as Revit BIM, AutoCAD, SKM, ETAP, and Easypower * Proficiency in national and local building codes, including NEC, State Energy Codes, NFPA guidelines, and FGI guidelines * Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively on project teams * A PE license is preferred, but candidates pursuing licensure will be considered * Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary...
