Commercial Refrigeration Installer – Brazing & Piping Focus

We are seeking a Commercial Refrigeration Installer with a strong focus on brazing, pipe fitting, and refrigeration plumbing to join our team in the NYC Metro Area and Long Island. This role supports the installation of supermarket and commercial refrigeration systems in active retail environments.

The ideal candidate has solid hands-on experience working with copper piping, brazed joints, and mechanical refrigeration piping, and is looking to grow into a senior installer or lead role over time.

Responsibilities

• Install and assemble refrigeration piping systems for commercial and supermarket refrigeration (racks, condensers, cases, evaporators).
• Perform brazing of copper tubing (suction, liquid, discharge lines) following best practices and safety standards.
• Measure, cut, fit, support, and secure refrigeration piping and hangers.
• Assist with pressure testing, nitrogen purging, evacuation, and system start-up support.
• Read and follow piping layouts, isometrics, and basic blueprints.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized job sites in active retail stores.
• Work closely with lead installers and technicians to complete projects on schedule.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in commercial refrigeration, HVAC piping, or mechanical pipe fitting.
• Proven experience with brazing and refrigeration piping (copper).
• Familiarity with supermarket or commercial refrigeration systems is a strong plus.
• Ability to follow instructions, piping diagrams, and safety procedures.
• Valid driver’s license.
• EPA Certification preferred but not required.
• Willingness to travel locally to job sites (NYC & Long Island).
