Position Overview

Trenchless Lining & Excavation Technician

We are seeking a SKILLED Trenchless Plumbing Excavation Technician to join our growing plumbing team. This role combines traditional plumbing, excavation equipment operation, and trenchless pipe rehabilitation using Cured-In-Place Pipe (CIPP) and spray lining technologies. The ideal candidate is hands-on, safety-focused, and capable of working both independently and as part of a crew, with opportunities for leadership and advancement.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate excavation equipment such as backhoes and mini excavators to safely expose underground plumbing systems
• Perform plumbing repairs and replacements alongside a lead technician
• Lead or assist with CIPP and spray lining installations, including pipe preparation, cleaning, inspection, and lining setup
• Set up, operate, and maintain lining and curing equipment (including hot water systems)
• Mix, apply, and cure resin systems according to project specifications
• Troubleshoot equipment and installation issues on-site to ensure quality results
• Prepare and restore job sites before and after work completion
• Follow all safety protocols, job specifications, and quality standards
• Communicate clearly with team members, project managers, customers, and inspectors
• Train and mentor junior technicians as needed
• Maintain accurate job documentation and reports
• Work efficiently in varying weather and site conditions

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of trenchless rehabilitation methods and equipment
• Equipment operation experience (mini excavator, backhoe) is a significant plus
