Plumber Helper (Apprentice Opportunity) – Grow Into a Plumbing Technician

AME Plumbing & Drains – El Paso, TX

AME Plumbing & Drains is looking for a dependable, hardworking Plumber Helper who wants to build a long-term career in the plumbing trade. This is an entry-level position with the opportunity to grow into a Plumbing Technician as your skills and performance improve.

We will help you obtain your Texas Apprentice Plumber License if you do not already have one.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed plumbers with residential and commercial service calls.
• Perform plumbing installations, repairs, drain cleaning, sewer work, water heater installations, and excavations.
• Dig trenches and perform physical labor as required for underground plumbing repairs and installations.
• Safely operate and use power tools, hand tools, and plumbing equipment.
• Load and unload materials and keep the work truck organized.
• Maintain a clean and safe job site.
• Learn the plumbing trade through hands-on training.

Requirements

• Must be dependable, motivated, and willing to learn.
• Must be comfortable performing physical labor, including digging.
• Must be familiar with safely using power tools.
• Must be able to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.
• Plumbing experience is a plus but not required.

Schedule

• Monday through Friday
• Typical hours: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Some days may run later if a job needs to be completed.
• Weekend work is very rare but may occasionally be required.
