Function Statement

Under the supervision of a senior technician or supervisor, performs tasks that ensure the uninterrupted operations of threaded, flanged, groove locked, soldered, and pressed plumbing systems and equipment. Inspects, tests, installs, fabricates, modifies, rigs, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs plumbing systems and equipment. Threaded, flanged, groove locked, soldered, and pressed Plumbing systems and equipment include, but are not limited to compressed gas systems, backflow preventers, sump pumps, drain, waste and vent systems, specialty water systems (e.g., chlorine dioxide, de-ionized water, reverse osmosis), domestic water systems and plumbing fixtures, heating hot water systems, and chilled water systems.
