We are looking for PLUMBING LEADERS who can motivate a team and successfully run jobs.

Responsible for ensuring all assigned duties related to plumbing, daily quality control and safety activities, and facility housekeeping objectives are understood and followed, working under the general direction of the Field Supervisor. Acts as resource and lead position for other team members.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

* Ensures personal safety and the safety of crew members is top priority.

* Works and supervises a small crew of workers and acts as first line of defense on job problems.

* Reads blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems, water supply networks and waste and drainage systems.

* Works in cooperation with other trades and laborers to ensure that all specifications, legislation and policies are met, to ensure efficient completion of any project.

* Plans two weeks ahead and orders materials accordingly.

* Connects tubing and fittings using solder paste, or solder and torch, to form sewer, drain, and water lines.

* Directs workers engaged in preassembly and installation of wall systems, such as risers, air chambers, and shower assemblies.

* Selects and inserts precut pieces of copper tubing and fittings in holes and connects tubing and fittings using solder paste, or solder and torch, to form drain and water lines.

* Conducts weekly job safety meetings.

* Develops and maintains good working relationship with owner/site supervisor/maintenance director.

* Ensures all water supply networks and waste and drainage systems are installed, repaired and maintained to meet all standards of building codes and safety.

* Checks subordinate timecards for accuracy.

* Attends weekly jobsite meetings with GC’s and coordinates with the GC’s site supervisor.
