General Manager - Plumbing / Mechanical Division

We are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead operations for a growing Plumbing and Mechanical company specializing in commercial, healthcare and industrial projects as well as service and maintenance. This role is responsible for overseeing project performance, financial results, team leadership, and customer relationships to ensure safe, profitable, and high-quality work.

Responsibilities

• Support the overall direction and execution of the company strategy, growth initiatives, and operational goals, collaborating with executive leadership to build a high-performance, accountable culture aligned with company values.
• Develop leadership bench strength across field and office teams.
• Enforce standard operating procedures for field execution and project delivery.
• Lead day-to-day division oversight of construction and service operations
• Provide leadership and oversight to project managers, field personnel, and administrative support teams to ensure operational alignment, accountability, and successful project execution.
• Partner with estimating and project teams to ensure accurate bids and cost controls.
• Maintain full P&L accountability by driving continuous improvement in cost efficiency and margin performance.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, developers, vendors and owners.
• Represent the company in industry associations and networking efforts.
• Resolve escalated issues related to subcontractors, schedules, labor performance, or change management.
• Ensure compliance with contracts, specifications, and client expectations.
• Manage budgets and divisional financial performance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
