HVAC and Plumbing Estimator

PCS Plumbing and Heating is seeking an experienced HVAC and Plumbing Estimator in the Buffalo area to add to our growing team. You will assess service requests, interpret mechanical specifications, and calculate labor and material costs. Ideal candidates will have hands-on knowledge of equipment and installation practices to ensure accurate, profitable job estimates.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze Project Scope: Review blueprints, schematics, and project specifications for accurate material and labor takeoffs.
• Assess Equipment Needs: Leverage your technical knowledge of HVAC and plumbing systems to identify appropriate equipment and compliant installation practices.
• Generate Proposals: Prepare and present detailed, competitive cost estimates to customers and contractors.
• Coordinate with Field Teams: Work directly with technicians and project managers to ensure estimates align with real-world installation realities.
• Manage Vendor Pricing: Obtain and compare quotes from equipment vendors and subcontractors.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum 3+ years of estimating or hands-on field experience in HVAC and/or plumbing.
• Strong technical aptitude and working knowledge of standard mechanical installation codes and best practices.
• Microsoft Suite skills.
• Exceptional organizational skills and high attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
