Job Summary

We are hiring an experienced HVAC Pipefitter for an immediate commercial/institutional project in Rosharon, TX. This role focuses on the installation of copper refrigerant piping systems.

This position is ideal for skilled tradesmen seeking high-paying short-term work, with the opportunity to transition into a long-term, full-time position with benefits.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, braze, and pressure test copper refrigerant piping
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
• Perform piping layout and routing for HVAC systems
• Ensure installations meet code and project requirements
• Maintain jobsite safety and quality standards
• Coordinate with supervisors and other trades to meet schedules

Requirements

• Minimum 3+ years of HVAC piping experience (commercial preferred)
• Proven experience with copper refrigerant piping and brazing
• Knowledge of nitrogen purging and pressure testing procedures
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents
• Must pass an extensive background/security check (TDCJ facility requirement)
• Reliable transportation and consistent attendance

Preferred

• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
• Experience working on secure or institutional facilities

Compensation

• $41.00/hour prevailing wage (all-inclusive rate)
• Steady hours for the duration of the project

Work Environment

• Active construction jobsite at a secure state facility
• Candidates must comply with all site security protocols
