About the Role

The successful Journeyman Pipefitter will install, assemble, and maintain piping systems in industrial and manufacturing environments. Candidates who can read technical drawings, troubleshoot issues, and work collaboratively will thrive in this position.

Key Job responsibilities

• Read and interpret isometric, plan view, and P&ID drawings
• Perform layout, fabrication, and installation of piping systems
• Take field measurements and translate them into drawings or layouts
• Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes using hand and power tools
• Align and fit welded pipe, threaded pipe, grooved pipe, and other mechanical connections
• Operate equipment such as pipe threaders, torches, forklifts, and lifts
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform repairs as needed
• Maintain and service existing piping systems and equipment
• Collaborate with welders and helpers on job sites
• Maintain safe work practices and high-quality standards

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years of pipefitting experience
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings (ISO, P&ID, blueprints)
• Demonstrated knowledge of piping systems, materials, and installation methods
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• High school diploma or equivalent
• English proficiency (spoken & written)
• Work within expected daily scheduled times & job site locations
• Valid driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications

• Pipe welding capability (various metals)
• Industrial or construction experience
• Leadership experience (for supervisory roles)

Work Environment

• Construction sites, industrial plants, refineries, or commercial buildings
• Work may be indoors or outdoors in varying weather conditions
• May involve working at heights, in confined spaces, or around hazardous materials
• Typically requires full-time hours, with possible overtime

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift 75 lbs
• Standing, bending, kneeling, and climbing for extended periods
• Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
• Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $38.00 - $42.00 per hour
