Journeyman Pipefitter, Steamfitter, Welder, Union 602 Path

REON is recruiting skilled Journeyman Pipefitters, Steamfitters, and Welders to join our mechanical crews on awarded federal contracts in the Bethesda and DC area. This is a hands-on field position performing renovations, restorations, and critical mechanical work at agencies such as NIH, NIST, and the Navy. Professionalism and reliability are important in this highly visible work environment.

As a Journeyman Pipefitter/Steamfitter, you will perform installation, fabrication, and repair of mechanical piping systems under the direction of the Mechanical Supervisor/Superintendent. You will work alongside REON's in-house mechanical team and, at times, coordinate with subcontractors and other trades on site. Clear communication, attention to detail, and a teaming mindset are essential to a successful project.

REON employs all-union labor. You will be expected to organize if you are not already signed onto Local 602.

Requirements

• Journeyman Pipefitter/Steamfitter with 5 years of experience in Industrial or Commercial
• Federal Experience 2+ years preferred
• Welding Certification preferred, but not required – candidates with a Certified Welder (CW) credential are eligible for additional compensation.
• Experience with chillers, cogeneration systems, or other advanced mechanical equipment is a plus and may qualify for additional compensation.
• A3/A2L Low GWP Refrigerant Safety Training a plus.
• First Aid/CPR preferred
• OSHA 10 (OSHA 30/EM385 preferred)
• Ability to obtain a clearance for badging and access on federal facilities.Description of Duties:
