Journeyman Plumber

Chet's Plumbing Co. has been providing superior plumbing services since 1983.

We are looking for a qualified Service Plumber who can fill the role of a main service plumber. The objective of this role includes:

Core plumbing responsibilities

• Installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems (water, gas, drainage)
• Diagnosing complex plumbing issues and deciding on the best solution
• Reading blueprints and ensuring systems are installed to code
• Inspecting completed work to make sure it meets safety and quality standards

Leadership and supervision

• Managing and directing a team of plumbers and apprentices
• Assigning tasks and making sure work is completed on schedule
• Stepping in to handle difficult or high-risk jobs

Project coordination

• Ordering materials and ensuring the right tools are available
• Keeping projects within budget and minimizing delays
• Communicating progress to clients or project managers

Compliance and safety

• Ensuring all work follows local building codes and regulations
• Enforcing safety procedures on job sites
• Handling permits and inspections when required

Customer interaction

• Meeting with clients to explain issues, timelines, and costs
• Providing estimates and sometimes helping with bids
• Resolving complaints or unexpected problems professionally

Administrative duties

• Maintaining records of work completed, materials used, and labor
• Reporting to upper management or business owners

REQUIRED

• Minimum 10 years of plumbing experience
• Valid CA Driver's License
• Clean driving record
• Must pass back ground check
• Willing to work over time (if needed)
• Must have their own working tools
• CSLB License Preferred

Business Hours: Monday-Friday | 8am-5pm

Hourly pay will be determined upon experience- starting at $35
