Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled, motivated and licensed RI Journeyman Plumber to join our ever-growing small business. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems across residential and some commercial projects. Must have knowledge of safety standards and building codes. Pay based on experience.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, and appliances on construction sites and in existing buildings.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute plumbing layouts.
• Use hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, and welding techniques to assemble plumbing components efficiently.
• Perform heavy lifting and physical tasks required for pipe installation, system upgrades, or remodeling projects.
• Conduct routine inspections of plumbing systems to identify issues and ensure compliance with safety standards and building codes.
• Collaborate with other trades such as carpentry, HVAC technicians, and electricians to coordinate project timelines and ensure seamless integration of systems.
• Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, materials used, and any repairs or modifications made during projects.

Skills

• Extensive experience with construction plumbing practices on commercial or residential sites.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams related to plumbing systems.
• Mechanical knowledge of piping systems, pipe threading, welding techniques, and HVAC integration.
• Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, pipe cutters, threading machines, and welding equipment.
• Strong understanding of construction site safety protocols and building codes.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during installation or repairs.
• Basic math skills for measurements, calculations related to pipe sizing or system layouts.
