The Superintendent invites qualified and interested persons to apply for the position of Per Diem Plumber within the Office of Facilities Management. POSITION OVERVIEW Under direction, performs general plumbing work involved in installation and maintenance of plumbing facilities and systems; works with various machine and hand tools common to the plumbing trade; may prepare or work from sketches, plans, and specifications in accord with the plumbing code or accepted trade practices; takes the lead over and gives assignments to those assigned as helpers; does other related duties as required.QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS+ Graduation from High School or Vocational School or possession of an approved High School Equivalent Certificate. + Three (3) years of experience in plumbing work involving a variety of layout, installation, and maintenance tasks. + Appointees will be required to possess a driver's license valid in New Jersey only if the operation of a vehicle, rather than employee mobility, is necessary to perform essential duties of the position.

NOTE

A valid Master Plumber's license issued by the New Jersey State Board of Examiners of Master Plumbing may be substituted for (3) three years of related experience.

NOTE

Applicants may be required to possess a valid Master Plumbers license issued by the New Jersey State Board of Examiners of Master Plumbers as determined by the Appointing Authority.
