Pipefitter Job Location: Norfolk, VA

Position Overview

We are seeking skilled pipefitters to join our team in Norfolk, VA. The ideal candidate will have experience installing, assembling, maintaining, and repairing piping systems used in industrial, commercial, or shipyard environments. This position requires the ability to read blueprints, fabricate and install piping systems, and ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with project specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, assemble, align, and secure piping systems, valves, fittings, and related equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and piping schematics.
• Measure, cut, thread, bend, and fabricate pipe using hand and power tools.
• Perform pipe layout, fit-up, and installation according to project specifications.
• Inspect piping systems for leaks and proper functionality.
• Repair or replace damaged piping, valves, and fittings as needed.
• Collaborate with welders, supervisors, and other trades to complete projects efficiently.
• Follow OSHA safety regulations and company safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of pipefitter experience in an industrial, commercial, manufacturing, or shipyard environment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and piping specifications.
• Experience with carbon steel, stainless steel, copper, and other piping materials.
• Proficient in pipe layout, fabrication, installation, and alignment.
• Skilled in using pipefitting hand tools and power tools.
• Strong understanding of piping systems, valves, flanges, pumps, and fittings.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in physically demanding environments.
