About Us

The City purchases natural gas from the Kansas and Oklahoma natural gas fields and transports the gas by contract over the Panhandle Eastern Pipeline (PEPL) to the City's connection to PEPL, near Hatton, to the north of Fulton. It then travels to a station at the north end of the city and out to our residents. The city owns and maintains approximately 89 miles of natural gas mains. The Gas Department also locates all City utilities for citizens, contractors, and City crews. This is done as part of the State of Missouri One Call System.

Provide skilled labor for the construction and maintenance of the gas distribution system within the city.

### Qualifications and Requirements:

### Experience, Education, and Training

• Completed high school diploma or equivalent
• 2 years of previous experience

### Requirements

• Must pass pre-employment drug testing and submit to periodic drug testing as required by applicable laws.
• May be required to work weekends or a variety of shifts.
• Subject to emergency call-in.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Must have a valid Driver's License, CDL (A or B).

OR

* Must take and pass, at minimum, the written portion of the Commercial Driver's License (CDL) exam (permit) within 90 days of hire.

AND

* A class "B" CDL, at minimum, must then be obtained within the 6-month probationary period.
