Job Description
The Pipefitter will be responsible for installing, assembling, modifying, testing, and repairing commercial and industrial piping systems. This position requires the ability to read construction drawings, work independently or with a crew, and maintain high-quality installation standards.
Responsibilities
- Install hydronic piping systems including:
- Chilled water
- Heating hot water
- Condenser water
- Refrigerant piping
- Steam and condensate systems
- Cut, thread, groove, weld-ready, and assemble pipe systems.
- Install valves, strainers, pumps, heat exchangers, coils, and related equipment.
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, and coordination drawings.
- Layout piping systems from plans and field measurements.
- Perform pressure testing and system start-up assistance.
- Install pipe supports, hangers, seismic bracing, and equipment connections.
- Coordinate with project managers, foremen, and other trades.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Follow OSHA and company safety requirements.
- Complete daily work reports and documentation as required.
QualificationsRequired
- Minimum 2 years of commercial mechanical piping experience.
- Ability to read and understand mechanical construction drawings.
- Experience with grooved, threaded, welded, copper, and PVC piping systems.
- Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and pipe fabrication equipment.
- Reliable transportation.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in construction environments.
- Strong work ethic and attendance.
Pay: $31.05 - $37.40 per hour
