Purpose of Job

The purpose of this job is to assist in the installation, repair, and maintenance of the plumbing and water distribution systems in unified government buildings. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, performing technical plumbing tasks, inspecting plumbing work, supervising inmate crews, and performing additional tasks as assigned.

Job Related Requirements

WORK SCHEDULE -

Monday through Friday, 7:30 am - 4:00 pm

May be required to work on religious holidays.

Regular and predictable attendance is required.

Must work cooperatively with others.

When requirements include vehicle operation, responsible for the safety, readiness and operation of the vehicle and must abide by ACC's safe driving policy. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES Vocational or technical diploma in related discipline with one year of plumbing experience required; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this position.

Six months of supervisory experience is preferred.

Must possess a valid driver's license.

Criminal background must indicate eligibility for the supervision of inmates.

Must obtain security training for the supervision of inmate workers as set forth by the Georgia Department of Corrections Standard Operating Procedures within six months of date of hire or first available opportunity. SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION (ADA) MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS OR STANDARDS REQUIRED
