Samaritans Purse is seeking a Plumber Maintenance Technician at our Facilities department in Boone, NC. As a Plumber Maintenance Technician, you will install, repair, maintain and test plumbing systems in residential and commercial settings. This role requires strong technical knowledge of plumbing codes, piping systems, and fixtures. You will also assist the Facilities team with building and grounds maintenance. A day in the life of a Plumber Maintenance Technician

In the role of Plumber Maintenance Technician, you will have the opportunity to:

• Maintain your personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness for Him
• Perform maintenance and preventive maintenance on plumbing systems in residential and commercial plumbing facilities. Communicate directly with Maintenance Manager on repairs, estimates, and maintenance recommendations.
• Install, repair, and service water heaters, toilets, sinks, garbage disposals, faucets, appliances, commercial-grade fixtures and specialized plumbing equipment.
• Perform drain cleaning and sewer line repairs. Diagnose and troubleshoot leaks, clogs, low water pressure, and fixture malfunctions.
• Work with large-scale piping systems, boilers, pumps, water supply, and waste systems.
• Perform emergency plumbing service calls, as needed.
• Assist other Facilities staff with facilities and ground maintenance, including snow removal as needed.
• Coordinate with contractors, electricians, HVAC technicians, and project managers.
• Review daily work lists with the Maintenance Manager at the end of each workday and provide routine communications throughout the day.
