Plumber

MSD is looking for a Plumbing Journeyman to join our team!

This role will require travel within 50 miles of your location.

Minimum Requirements of the Plumber Journeyman are

• 5+ years’ recent experience in plumbing field
• Possess (or be able to pass) city/county/state PlumberJourneyman certification test
• Completion of a state-sponsored Plumber Apprenticeship program preferred
• Advanced knowledge of Plumbing practices and procedures
• US Citizenship or Permanent Resident Status required

Key Job Duties of the Plumber Journeyman are

• Plan, install, and repair pipe systems according to specifications, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Guide and train team members on proper techniques, procedures, and safety practices while overseeing job activities and schedules.
• Conduct quality control inspections, report data such as labor hours and materials usage, and ensure safe operation of machinery and tools.
• Maintain proficiency in plumbing skills and obtain necessary licensures/certifications.

The Plumbing Journeyman installs and removes plumbing fixtures for new construction and renovation projects, interpreting blueprints and performing tasks like drilling, measuring, cutting, and welding. They also mentor and evaluate Apprentice Plumbers while ensuring high-quality service and responding to customer needs consistently.
