Duties

----------

• Works on all the Center sewage, water, gas, and fire suppression systems. Also disassembles, installs, modifies, repairs, and maintains a wide variety of new and existing piping systems and equipment.
• Installs, modifies, and repairs systems by locating and tapping main lines, setting up system routes, placing and cutting route openings, placing hangers for proper level and slope.
• Installs and repairs valves, traps and unions needed for proper operation of various systems.
• Lays out, installs and insulates domestic water and waste lines completing proper routing, placement, slant, slope and jointing, sealing and testing for proper pressures, leak-free joints and operation.
• Cuts, bends and threads pipe necessary to hook-up air, gas and water lines. Opens clogged drains and sewer lines, and repairs faucets. Operates soldering equipment to join copper pipe of varying sizes.
