Service Plumber

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled, dedicated and experienced Service Plumber with a minimum of 4 years of experience and a clean driving record that is looking for a full-time. This position will be servicing DC, MD and VA. This individual must have the flexibility and availability to be part of an on call rotation for emergencies. No plumbing license is required. Hand tools must be provided by employee. Machines such as sewer cleaners will be provided by employer.

Service Plumber Responsibilities

• Cut, assemble and install pipes and tubes with attention to existing infrastructure (e.g. electrical wiring)
• Maintain water supply systems.
• Locate and repair issues with water supply lines (e.g. leaks)
• Repair or replace broken drainage lines, clogged drains, faucets etc..
• Install waste disposal and sanitary systems with well-functioning DWV systems.
• Diagnosing and repairing plumbing issues like leaks, clogs, and malfunctions.
• Installing and repairing plumbing fixtures such as sinks, toilets, water heaters, pumps and ejectors.
• Working with various piping systems (e.g., copper, PVC, cast iron, pex).
• Maintaining and service pumps (e.g. sump, sewer, hot water).
• Reading and understanding plumbing system layouts.
• Adhering to plumbing codes and regulations.
• Providing excellent customer service, including explaining repairs and solutions to clients.

Requirements and Skills

• Proven experience as a plumber with minimum of 4 years industry experience. Provide your own hand tools
• Solid understanding of water distribution and disposal systems in both residential and commercial.
• Ability to handle plumbing tools and equipment (pipe wrenches, pipe cutters, plungers etc.)
• Mechanical skills: Proficiency in using plumbing tools and equipment.
• Problem-solving skills: Ability to identify, diagnose, and resolve plumbing problems.
