Plumber/Pipefitter

Location- Norwalk, CT

King Industries, Inc. is excited to offer an excellent opportunity for an experienced Plumber/Pipefitter to join our team! In this role, you will assist with the repair and installation of steam, air, water, and chemical piping systems and components throughout the King Industries plant year-round.

As a Plumber/Pipefitter at King Industries, you will be an integral member of our Maintenance Department, which currently includes a skilled team of six pipefitters.

Skills Required

• Basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction, and multiplication).
• Ability to read and respond to written instructions.
• Knowledge of pipefitter techniques and mechanical ability to repair and maintain air, water, steam, and chemical piping systems.
• Ability to work weekends (at least 2 Saturday's a month).

Education and Experience Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2-3 years' experience as a plumber or pipefitter.
• Trade school or letter of recommendation from former employer of experience and abilities.
• P1 or P2 certification required.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate execution of tasks.
• Repair and install steam, air, water, and chemical piping systems and components throughout the plant year-round.
• Troubleshoot and maintain piping components to ensure optimal performance and functionality.
• Assist with moving and installing equipment at various elevations.
• Ability to work weekends (at least 2 Saturdays per month).
• Support preventive maintenance efforts for process equipment.
• Collaborate with the maintenance team to complete projects efficiently and safely.
• Adhere to company safety programs and maintain a safe working environment.
• Participate in company-wide efforts to uphold quality, occupational health & safety, and environmental (QHSE) management systems in alignment with ISO 9001, ISO 45001, and ISO 14001 standards.
