MDOT MAA is currently accepting applications for the position of Plumber (Skilled Trade Specialist II) at the Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI Marshall Airport).

Employees in this class are required to perform various duties such as

• Installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing and natural gas equipment, piping, valves, and fittings in compliance with the Maryland State and International Plumbing Codes
• Installing valves and piping from ‘A” to 12”. Installation and repairs to showers, lavatories, water closets, faucets, and urinals
• Fitting copper pipes and fittings using assorted flux, solder, and brazing materials
• Using different types of gases (i.e., map, and acetylene to fit and cut copper and steel pipes). Installing steel, water, natural gas by using power threaders and groves to cut, thread, and grove the ends of the piping
• Troubleshooting and repairing sewage ejector pumps, motors, and controls
