Job Role Summary

The Plumber/Steamfitter II performs preventive maintenance by inspecting the plumbing and steam heating systems and replacement of potentially defective parts. Proactively contributes to Eskenazi Health's mission: Advocate, Care, Teach and Serve with special emphasis on the vulnerable population of Marion County. Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Provides oversite to unlicensed plumbers on staff
• Utilizes the Work Order system to document progress and create new work orders.
• Responsible for conducting complex preventive maintenance by inspection of the plumbing and steam heating systems and replacement of potentially defective parts
• Checks for repairs and stoppages, breaks, leaks in waste lines, water lines, vent, steam and/or return lines to ensure proper operation and maintenance
• Repairs/installs plumbing fixtures, (i.e. wash basins, sinks, toilets, valves, faucets, pressure regulator valves, water heaters, hot and cold-water piping, sewer piping, steam piping and insulation)
• Responsible for maintaining and repairing supplemental disinfection systems
• Repairs double containment piping and monitoring systems
