Plumber

Essential Duties

* Supervises a team of Plumber journeyman, contractors, and apprentices to ensure completion of work orders in timely manner and ensures all city codes, OSHA, IPC, and IBC regulations have been followed. * Performs general plumbing work including installation, repair, and preventative maintenance. * Oversees the repairs, replacements and installations of any plumbing issues within the district. * Performs, plans and lays out work, develop cost estimates, and identify/order required materials. * Assists team on plumbing task to complete work orders, follows maintenance schedules, log work accomplished and interact with building based personnel to determine problems and locations of repairs. * Communicates effectively with all OKCPS personnel, students and visitors. * Promotes the overall effectiveness of the organization by performing tasks and sharing responsibilities of other members of the Department during peak periods or when there is an overload of duties. * Participates in the training, development and mentoring of less experienced employees. * Assigns tasks to workers and specifies methods of coordinating workflow to facilitate completion of all jobs in a timely manner. * Schedules, plans, and prioritizes the work to meet timelines. * Drives district owned vehicles to assigned sites * Responsible for completion of work relative to deadlines and review of work quality of direct reports. * Core work schedule may change due to operational needs.
