Plumbing (Full Time, Exempt)

Under the direction of the Division Manager, the BIM Detailer is responsible for coordinating, designing, and formatting 3D building information model (BIM) drawings.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma/GED or Member in good standing of applicable local bargaining unit
• Years of Relevant Work Experience: 2 to 5 years of CAD/Revit experience, Plumbing Design experience preferred.
• Certificates/Licenses: Driver’s License
• Physical Job Requirements: Move throughout office, construction site, and general outdoor environments

Key Activities

* Understand Projects. Review project specifications, proposal, addendums, engineering drawings, and all other information pertinent to project.

• Generate 3D Models and Fabrication Drawings. Generate constructable 3D models and review assembly & spool drawings for fabrication in conjunction with project & shop foremen.
• Project Documentation. Provide other project information/documentation as requested. Provide information necessary for plan review/permit. Manage plan review process. Provide “cut sheets” and shop fabrication drawings as requested. Archive drawings (approved plans, pertinent architectural plans, civil plans, etc.) in electronic format.
