What You'll Do

• Prepare accurate quantity takeoffs using mechanical estimating software.
• Review project drawings, plans, and specifications to develop competitive estimates.
• Solicit and evaluate pricing from subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors.
• Prepare detailed proposals that clearly define the scope of work and pricing.
• Attend occasional pre-bid meetings and job site visits to better understand project requirements.
• Participate in meetings with general contractors to review project scope, answer questions, and identify value engineering or cost-saving opportunities.
• Collaborate with the Project Management team after project award to ensure a smooth handoff and assist with project management responsibilities as needed.
• Maintain organized estimate documentation and communicate effectively throughout the bidding process.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of commercial plumbing estimating experience preferred.
• Experience estimating commercial plumbing projects; multi-family residential estimating experience is a plus.
• Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency with computers and estimating software (mechanical estimating software experience is a plus).
