Plumbing Journeyman

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Plumbing Journeyman to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems across various commercial and residential construction sites. Your expertise will ensure that plumbing installations meet safety standards, building codes, and project specifications. Duties

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain plumbing systems using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment such as pipe threading machines.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute plumbing layouts and system designs.
• Perform welding tasks when necessary to join pipe sections or repair existing piping systems.
• Conduct heavy lifting up to, but not limited to, 50 lbs of materials and equipment safely on construction sites while adhering to safety protocols.
• Collaborate with project managers, electricians, HVAC technicians, and carpenters to coordinate installation activities and ensure seamless project progress.
• Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues related to plumbing fixtures, piping, and related mechanical systems.
• Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, including inspection reports and compliance records.

Experience

• Proven experience working on construction sites with a focus on plumbing installation and maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of construction plumbing practices, schematics reading, and blueprint interpretation.
• Hands-on experience with welding, pipe threading, and the use of hand tools and power tools in a construction environment.
• Familiarity with HVAC systems, remodeling projects, and general maintenance tasks is a plus.
