Plumbing Service Technician

Position Summary

The Plumbing Service Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, installing, and maintaining plumbing systems in residential and commercial buildings. This position requires strong troubleshooting skills, excellent customer service, and the ability to work independently while maintaining high-quality workmanship and safety standards.

Service & Repair

• Diagnose and repair plumbing issues, including leaks, clogs, water heaters, fixtures, piping systems, and drainage systems.
• Perform troubleshooting of residential and commercial plumbing systems.
• Repair or replace faucets, toilets, water heaters, disposals, sump pumps, well systems, and related plumbing equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance inspections and recommend necessary repairs.

Installation

• Install plumbing fixtures, water heaters, piping systems, pumps, and related equipment.
• Complete minor plumbing remodel and replacement projects.
• Ensure all work complies with applicable plumbing codes and company standards.

Customer Service

• Communicate clearly and professionally with customers regarding findings, repair options, and recommendations.
• Provide accurate estimates and explain completed work.
• Maintain a clean and professional appearance and job site.

Documentation

• Complete service tickets, work orders, and inspection reports accurately.
• Record materials used, labor hours, and job notes.
• Submit paperwork and electronic reports promptly.

Safety & Vehicle Maintenance

• Follow all company safety policies and OSHA requirements.
• Maintain company vehicle, tools, and equipment in clean working condition.
• Report vehicle or equipment issues promptly.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of plumbing service experience preferred.
• Residential and commercial service experience preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities.
• Knowledge of plumbing codes and industry standards.
